Do relays operate in A.C as well as in DC?

They certainly can. You'll notice that there's a whole lot of listings at any relay vendor site for AC relays and DC relays. Now would you kindly explain to me why you've asked instead of doing some easy to find research yourself?

Dear Sir,

You have both the types.Imagine a situation where you have to control

Ac load but you have only a DC source for the relay coil. You will find that the

contacts are rated for AC and DC loads with deratings. This should not be a

problem to be discussed in CR4.
