AutoCAD Civil 3D Alignments

05/16/2010 9:33 AM

I am trying to work with alignments; and when I edit a profile, this means the elevations are changed to what I want the road level to be.. How do I label these new elevations on the alignment centreline automatically thru the software.

Just off the top of my head. Create a corridor with some assembly...(sidewalk, polyline, anything) only needs to be a foot wide or so.. Create a surface for the corridor. Label the surface along the alignment. Martin

I hope this doesn't come too late, but better late than never ;)

  1. go to Annotate tab>Labels and tables>Add label>Alignment>Add/edit
  2. select subject Alignment
  3. Type: Profile geometry points; Profile geometry point label style: standard; choose desired components which the label shall contain and edit their appearance; click add and select points to label and PROFILE NAME!
  4. click OK.

Hope this will help.
