That would be a big no, and another big no.

You can program a machine to mimic love, and build replacements for itself, but that's hardly the same.

I disagree. This insidious process is well underway. The 'bots are fully humaniform and pass all medical tests.....be worried

I agree, they usually disguise themselves as politicians and accountants.

Consultants too.

And I am pretty sure that, for falling in love, and wanting to have children, the new robot models must be female!

But there was a discussion I've heard once:

It is known that a chip may be programmed to mimmic the performance of a neuron. And if this chip has a proper interface, it can be inserted into a humans brain (ok, it can't, but let's imagine...). If you keep replacing neurons on an on ni a brain, does the final brain, made of chips, still works like a human brain? If does, why they're not able to emotions?

Or that's the difference of what they call a "soul"? (I don't believe in these things, but launching the discussion).

There is a hell of a lot more to a human's brain than just neurons. Thee dynamic interconnection between them to start with is a huge factor. We still aren't sure how the brain actually works and stores information yet so just replacing neurons is not the way to duplicate the function of a human brain.

Yes, I agree... Well, maybe a man's brain could be replicated with 2 or three dynamic links, but a woman's brain... I guess there's no technology or even enough level of abstraction in a mind in the world that can understand it, image duplicating it...

One told me about such a robot...

The day he arrive at his friend's office some where in Japan, he atrracted to his secretary, whose beauty was unbelievable a 100% perfect! And the speed of typing was unbelievable fast. But he had his heart broken as soon as his friends told him that she was just only a robot called humanoid.

"I can program her to act as you wish" said the friend. "... loves you and to be your room mate ", continued with his eye winked.

The night goes as best as no more other night for him. Until a breaking painfull scream comes from a room of a hotel. The friend run in rush to the room nearby, finding the secretary and he being naked and blood burst unexpextedly from his manhood.

"God damn it ...!, I forget to change it from a pencil sharpener!!!" shout the friend.

The moral is ... Don't expect to much from the robot! To has love feeling is OK, but to have a baby?? Better take the sharpener .....
