Optical Communication

In any Optical Instruments , or Optical Communication They Given 1310nano meter and 1550 nano meter , Why they using these Wave Lent Only (but in RF Communication We are Using Different Frequency ,LF to UVHF.

I'd guess because in fiber optics the medium works best at certain wavelengths. Also, the emitters and receptors have frequencies that they work best at. With RF, in air, a wide band of frequencies work equally good.

Most of the optical communication is based on infrared light. Because the fibre or glass absorbs Ultraviolet light and hence it cannot propagate longer distances.
