Just came across this.

So is it possible?

Well, Peter, I admit I was intrigued.

However, at 48 seconds into the video, careful viewing reveals the board (or whatever it is) that he is running on. It jumps up out of the water as he runs over.

So, no. It is a hoax.

if you go to 1.56 where he runs for about 5 paces and replay it it looks genuine.

and on a later part the water appears to be dipping as though the surface tension is stopping him sinking.

and if you look at the way he runs his legs go up and down so his feet are impacting on the surface.

there is a sport where they drive cars at speed over the surface of the water it seems to be the speed element.

I am not totaly sucked in though ( no pun intended)

I didn't go to the links, but I think I know what you're talking about; and I agree it has to do with the speed, or better said, the inertia; moving his legs like that will keep the linear inertia a bit less dirturbed, and at the same time he will benefit from the water suface tension (in almost depicable way).

I'd like to see one guy, running, stopping and trying to turn back, in a crocodile lake.
