Gas turbine

05/28/2010 2:15 AM

Sir,

1)Can a gas turbine increases a load(active power) if inlet gas temperature of natural gas is low?

2)whether low temperature gas at the inlet of gas turbine increases the heat rate of gas turbine?

3)whether the total net effect of low inlet gas temperature will increase the overall heat rate or reduce the heat rate.

Thanks

Output and efficiency of G.T. is highly sensitive to inlet combustion air temperature.

For inlet air temperatures of 4 / 15 / 30 / 45 degree celcious the corresponding power output from G.T. are 105% / 100% / 79% / 70%
