Air Induction system

We are designing a Air Induction system for a big car. The induction system is very intricate in shape and sizes, that pressure drop could be more which is undesirable. Can anyone help in using formula to calculate pressure drop and effect on flow at various sections? How can we overcome drawbacks due to intricate shapes? Space is constraint due to which intricacy is more.

Ohh...very complicated! I have an interest in this so I await any replies with antici..........pation. By the way, you don't say weather it's forced induction or normally aspirated?

Simple answer is some sort of intake manifold boos system like a turbocharger or supercharger but this is expensive, complicated and more prone to pailure.

My brother does this for a living (mostly Ford). Biggest problem is getting wind tunnel time for certification; expensive and very few facilities available.

Its a great idea the air inductor system. The problem about the presures is simple, searh in a fluid mechanics book...
