cable selection is not meant for kids. Get an engineering degree. ( Anybody can do it with the formula, but it is not authorised as per local and international standards and regulation.)

For selecting Cable, Actually cable depending on current or load.

First find the current

For current find formula

For single phase

POWER=V x Ix cosØ / 1000 kw

I=P x 1000 / V x cosØ Amps

For 3 phase

POWER=√3 x V x Ix cosØ / 1000 kw

I=P x 1000 / √3 V x cosØ Amps

And as current rating cable select

Approximate below show current rating of different cable sizes

Single core aluminum cable current rating

Is that for AC or DC?

Also what voltage range, because that has a bearing too.

What ambient temperature range?

Um, one more, Which environmental or operational standard do you need to comply with?

There is more to cable selection than just the wire size...
