2003 Cavalier Won't Start

why won't my 03 cavalier start after i replaced the starter? i tested the new one a its working fine.

Test the old one and you may find that it is also working fine.

If so, then check other systems.

select neutral or park if auto if manual place out of gear, run wire from posative side of battery to solenoind on top of starter taking care not to let wire touch chassis.

starter should turn over.

how many small conectors have you on solenoid ?

some solenoids have two one from igniton switch and one for cold starting device, if youve mixed them up the sloenoid wont engage.

why are you changing starter motor ?

1. What kind of problem did you have before you changed the starter?

2 . When you state it won't start, Just what does it do , Nothing, Just clicks, cranks over but won't start to run ? Remember the old saying, "Don't assume ", so I'll ask did the car run before you changed the starter?
