We are looking to simulate print offset in a rewound paper roll. But to know what pressure(force) to use on the offset test we need to understand what kinds of pressures are present inside the roll.
From what I've been able to reason is that these pressures are going to be directly proportional to the amount of tension applied while winding. It should also be inversely proportional to the radius. So as tension increases on the paper, pressure inside the paper should increase. As the roll grows bigger, pressure inside the roll should decrease, being higher towards the center and lower at the edges.
Does anyone know of any models to predict this or how to calculate it? Force balances in radial directions perplex me.
Thanks
