NASA on board a JAXA Satellite

A new NASA telescope was 'launched' aboard a major new space observatory constructed by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
This new high resolution X-ray spectrometer in combination with the NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and ESA'a XMM-Newton mission will "support the study of exotic objects and regions in space that radiate predominantly in X-rays."

Good to know that just because the USA has had problems with our space program that other countries are willing to help out. This kind of research is valuable to every country.
