Since you suggested the book many times as the engineer total response to problems I wanted to have a look at it but I got only the answer that the book is not available and nobody knows if it will ever be again for sale.

May be you could suggest an other source which is available for those who need it ? What do you think ?

I do not understand why you want to rediscover America, Columbus did it for you!

There are at least several hundred hydraulic cylinder manufacturer and although the device seems to be very simple it is a piece of equipment which requires a lot of detailed know how to be operational the right way.

It is not only a problem of computing (which is also complex although people consider it from the outside as simple) but it is a problem of manufacturing, of tribology for the right choice of the seals according to where and how it will work at which pressure range and with which fluid not to speak about temperature and stick slip.

To make a good cylinder it requires a lot of different knowledges and if you ask such questions you have not the slightest idea about it. So better let it be and buy the ram you need.

If you are a student trying to have his work done by others you are at the wrong address. If you gather the information and you have troubles to understand it then you come to CR4 and will get support but NOBODY will do you work!
