RTU for SCADA application

02/22/2007 10:14 AM

We are in the process of changing the existing Substation and distribution RTUs to a new one. Basic requirements would be DNP3 communication possibly future integration to IEC-61850, 9 curretnt CT inputs 0-5A and 1 VT input, vertual input through SCADA:open/close switch and remote/local select. Vertual output to SCADA: Voltage, current, fault detection, over current alarm, sequence of event reporting, real power, reactive power, power factor reporting.

We want something latest than DART GE Harrison RTU and proven to work on the utility business.

Any recomandation. Thank you

Hi,

Could you please give little more information about the protection relays that you are using in the substation. We provide data exchange between ABB SPACOM relays which communicate on SPA Protocol and to the RTU-D200 as well as RTU560 of ABB on IEC-870-5-103. I think the RTU560 is the latest one copare to D200.

If you need further information please let me know
