06/19/2010 3:23 AM

One of our client is interested to replace in his office the existing 1000 in numbers, 40Watt F/Tube Lights with LED tube lights is there any advantage of installing LED tube lights instead of F/Tube lights. What technical specification should be taken care of when ordering for LED Tube lights.

The client wants that the existing light fixtures should be used for LED tube light. Please explain is this workable and to what extent.

The equivalent of 40 watt tube is with 15 watt LED. But LED lamp cost is 10 times of the present tube.
Another option is to go for T5 28watt tube. This is cheeper than LED.
The LED tube can be fitted to current fitting with new power supply. You have to remove the choke from existing tube
