Water Soluble Adhesive Needed

Hello and thanks for looking!

I am in need of a water soluble adhesive. One that would allow bonding to clothing on one side and plastic on the other. It is for use in a costume arrangement but would need to be only temporary. Would need to dissolve in average temp tap water. 45*F to 55*F water. I have high hopes that this would be a 'green' product as well. Any information would be greatly helpful!! Thanks in advance for the information!!

Flour and water paste would be the classic "green" water soluble adhesive. I think it would bond light plastic to cloth easily enough, but would not be strong enough to hold a stiffer plastic in an imposed deformed position - movement might cause it to pop off. The costume disaster potential depends on your design. Is the plastic already molded and rigid? Or are small pieces of plastic involved?
