Dear sirs:

Please send to us a aproximation size of scrubers for 15 mscfpd of natural gas wth the fowllowings characteristics:

in let pressure; 565 psi

methano 97.84 % molar

propane 0.01 % molar

ethano 0.09 % molar

iso butane 0.01% molar

nitrogeno 0.81 % molar

very truly yours and thanks

what is the rest of the gas analysis is missing almost 2%. What do you want to scrub out, with what, and to what residual level. Economic considerations are? Power cost, fuel cost, location ,etc. Are you trying to remove liquid entrainment? To what degree? Allowable remaining particle size and concentration?

Lots of stuff needed to provide meaningful answer. With information provided the answer is: Big enough.

Dear Alvaro

I can do it with process simulator "HYSYS" or "CHEMCAD" but important data for sizing the scruber were left.

First you should define what you are going to separate. You should define the overhead and bottom qualities. In process they are called light and heavy keys.

second, the natural gas composition you given is not normalized (sum equal 100%). yours gives only 98.76% (I guess some component were forgotten)

third, the inlet temperature was left. If you need to separate the C2+ products as it is usually the case. the gas should enter the scruber somewhere betwen -60°C and -70°C

Finally, the feed rate of natural gas seems to be very low 15 000 scfd !!! will lead to a thin scruber. "m" means thousand or million?

Regards
