06/22/2010 4:25 AM

While selecting a particular type of strainer, do we go for its vaccum calculations also? If yes then how we do these calculations?

No calculation is needed in selection. Just quote max and min of both pressure and temperature, together with the nature of the wetting fluid, to the strainer supplier.

We don't need any seperate calculation as far as pressuredrop thru mesh / filter element is concern but body wall thichness should should be checked for external pressure withstanding capacity (whether external reinforcement is required or not)
