SS- A403WP304/304L

06/22/2010 4:29 AM

For butt welded SS material A403 WP304/304L-W, Sch40 and Sch80 are denoted by Sch40S and Sch80S but Sch60 is not denoted as Sch60S.

Design Conditions are normal.

Pl. explain this in brief.

Many Thanks!

You did not state what size pipe and fittings you were interested in.

I looked at this web site: http://www.maselmon.com/Content.aspx?ContentID=24

and found that Sch 60S is only available in 10"(NPS).

Are you asking this as a general question or do you have a specific need that can only be satisfied by Schedule 60S pipe and fittings?

Schedule 60S is not listed in applicable Stainless Steel Pipe standard ASME B36.19 so that would not be available. And so would be the case for stainless steel fittings. I think this would be the main reason.
