Commissioning an LCD Panel

06/22/2010 11:53 PM

When I commissioned one LCP panel I got one problem. Can you solve? Are there any
ideas, please share with me.

The LCP module is controlling the LT MCC module which is 350mtr away from the LCP panel. The control supply of 110v Ac.LCP having potential free contacts.

So we laid the cable of C&I i.e 8pairX0.5mm each pair is covered with plastic
cover for pair no. and on the cover armour and on the armour AL paper
cover from MCC to LCP.

Previously I didn't connect armour to the earth- at the time I found
that there is voltage in the armour and there is drop in the cable up 75V.
Than I connected armour to the earth I didn't get any drop in pair cable
and also in the cable I found full 110V. But when it connected to the
coil of a contactor the coil is not picking up and voltage is dropping to
44V in the cable.

Because of this I am unable to start the motor through LCP commands.

Dear skumara05,

Please check up the coil voltage of the contactor to which you want

to connect 110 V line. Also check up if the contactor coil pulls in immediately or you

have to push it in manually ,if so the pick-up voltage is not enough. Will be happy to receive your reply.
