Temperature of Compressed Air After Expansion.

06/26/2010 1:46 AM

Dry compressed air having due point (-20 deg.cel) from a high pressure receiever at 68 bar(g) & temp 25 deg.cel is reduced through pressure reducing valve to 8 bar(g) in steel pipe line to feed other user at 8 bar(g).

What will be the temperature of compressed air after pressure reduction from 68 to 8 bar ? is there any chances of condensation after expansion ?

Pressure reducing valve is self actuating spring loaded type suitable for 130 Nm3 flow and selected Cv of PRV is 0.2.
