Pressure Seal Gaskets

07/07/2010 12:57 PM

Does anyone have a catalogue showing specifications for pressure seal gaskets for parallel slide gate valves, etc. These valves are of SEREG make. Our plant uses these type of valves in the feedwater system (200 degC and 14MPa pressure). The gaskets are of stainles steel construction. The supplier has changed over to graphite type gaskets with stainles steel edges. We unfortunately could not get specifications pertaining to these type of pressure seal gaskets. can anyone help?

• May be the changed gasket into a graphite type with a stainless steel edges is that type which is familiar to us in oil & gas which called Spiral Wound, if that is correct, it is considered a good selection.

• See the following free softwar for Gasket Selection by Novus: Gasket_Selection_Novus.
