Drag and Drop in Windows XP

07/08/2010 11:48 AM

Hi all, Im using windows XP SP3 and the drag and drop feature is not behaving as it used to be.When I drag and drop an item I want it "moved" not "copied". How can I change this feature? Would much appreciate any help.

Not sure really... I've gotten into the habit of right-click move and the little window comes and I select move :)

As far as I've seen, dragging a file from one location to another location on the same drive letter will usually move it while dragging from one drive letter to another drive letter will copy.

You can hold shift while dragging to move the file instead of copy it or drag it with the right mouse button which gives you the option.

GA. I like moves that involve using both mouse and keyboard.
