02/26/2007 3:31 PM

I need the design standards for the vacuum system on a typical paper machine from Fourdrinier to press section.

Thanks

The best person I know about design of papermachine wet ends is Gene Reardon. He was one of the process engineers at Dexter Nonwovens and this is his area of expertise. His email is eugenereardonhotmail.com. I believe he is living in the UK at the moment but do not know.

See the guys at http://www.gfinterweb.com/gfippt.ppt.. They are some of the engineers from the Sandy Hill pulp and paper works. they are very experienced in wet end, press section and dryer design. Or if you have a very large budget, contact Metso OY www.metso.com To answer your question you need to specify machine deckle, product grade, production rate, stock freenes and a lot of other variables.
