07/23/2010 7:08 AM

Good Morning

I am studing an equipment to abate a sulfuric acid vapours/gas who come
from battery room ( recharge) trough pipe and discharge in atmosfera. The height of pipe is small ( can be extended) , but I make sure with Equipment. I thought in Cyclon or Scrubber with CO3Ca or (OH) Ca. Is It appropiate?

To clarify ,the vaporous comes from a room ,where a group of lead batteries are recharged .These vaporous of sulfuric acid are collected and expulsed to atmosphere by blower. The concentration in the chimney and surroundings are too high according law. Parameters Concentration: 8.6 mg/m3 Mass Flow: 48 mg/s Flow: 5.6 m3/s Speed:14.50 m/s Pipe diameter (Chimney):0.70 m
