Air:Fuel Ratio - Coal Fired FBC Boilder

Hi. What is the air - fuel ratio of coal fired fbc boiler? And how much percentage of excess air required for complete combustion?:-):-)

what kind of readings are you currently getting at minimum safe firing rate? the minimum safe firing will depend on the fuel the fire box /burners ash handling bag separators preheater/ economizers temps do your instruments currently measure @ 5-15 % percent excess o2 how does the fire behave do you get complete combustion?

Hi. I know the furnace draft of 5mm of water column. Ash handling equipment is mechanical dust collector and preheater is available for preheating of forced draft air.

To much excess air creates a slight cooling effect, but insufficient o2 is the culprit when trying to capture all the heat available in the fuel.

your goal is .....complete combustion with a minimum of excess air.
