What are the acceptable fixes for a misplaced tube hole on an ASME Section IV boiler tube sheet. Can a properly beveled double V groove be used along the perimeter of the misplaced hole, welding in new steel (disk) into the hole. Then. redrill the hole in its proper place? Some of the new weld would be drilled through during the re-drilling process.
Appreciate any info on this.
