Hi dear jvsnlchari,

Does your problem frequently happen? however, I do advise to separate the air conditioner in a separate circuit with a well-sized circuit breaker, Because the symptoms you told are indication that you mixed up both of the air conditioning and lighting together in one circuit which is undesirable.

awaiting your feedback!!!!!!!!!

after switching on AC the voltage is dropped or after 5 minutes before tripping?

and after 5 minutes when compressor start working it trips?

well if so please use an auto voltage stablizer with your AC

Or better if you can use a bigger one for whole of your lighting as well as AC

Was it working properly before? Any strange noises or excess heat coming from compressor or fan motor prior to tripping? It could be as simple as replacing the breaker. I suspect the problem lies with the fan motor or compressor though. Something's not happy.

Dear jvsnlchari,

I wish the followings will help you to solve or identify your AC problem.

(1) Please seperate power and lighting loads (if possible).Use 4 sq.mm copper

conductor for AC load and 1.5 sq.mm for lighting loads.(2) Use 20 A SP MCB

C series OR D series ( depends on the manufacturer- which can withstand

inductive loads) for AC loads.(3) Use a stabiliser 4 kva OR a double booster

stabiliser with auto-cut off. (4) Check for any lose connection in compressor relay

sockets. (5) Is the compressor is free to rotate ? (6) Any filter choke up in the

gas circuit.(7) During the running does the fan shaft tend to shift due to worn out

bushings or axial play.(8) Does the compressor's valves are functionoin normally-

do they open and close or sticky.(9) Any choke up in the cooling air circuit which

can cause pressure ( in the compressor) build-up to cause over load and the

conditions as described by you may be indicative.

Some of the points will be verified only by the AC people but knowing the

reasons will be of good use.
