Current Transformer in Differential Relay

i would ask about ct in differential relay. In my case uses 3 ct, but in different class. Example in phase r : 5p10 and phase s 10p10. Any comment about this.My opinion, it should b we use the same class.

For differential protection it is advisable to use Class X CT which has to be sized based on the relay burden and on the connection link

i agree. It is still confusing me, why the old plant use the different class.

Hi turonggo

"In my case uses 3 ct, but in different class" why? definitely,you have to use 3 correspondent CTs, because that way ( of 3 different CTs) is no use applying differential relays in order to protect your electrical equipments............
