Design of a Wind Turbine Blade

hi,
pls am designing a HAWT wind trubine blade and i after finding my desired 'r' station for the blade when i tried to optimize the chord,c(r) along the blade using the expression below:

C_opt=16πR(R/r)/(9λ^2 B) ...where B(no. of blade)=3, λ=7, r= 0.4, 1, 2, 3, 4,5,6,7,8,9,10

from the root of the blade when i calculated the values of the c(r). i got a very big values. which i fink it not right. pls can u show me how to optmize my blade chord. well this is what i got when i put various parameters in the formula above.


i got the c(r) in every 'r' sections to be:

0.25m
8.548551438m
4.274275719m
2.849517146m
2.13713786m
1.709710288m
1.424758573m
1.221221634m
1.06856893m
0.949839049m
0.854855144m

am i in the right path. thanks

I recently attended a seminar on propeller efficiency for aircraft propellers, and your chord at various stations appear to have a reasonable geometry from the shapes I saw at the seminar.

Of course I am coming from left field, and do not even pretend to be an expert in wind turbine blades!

yh tanx for ur advice. but according to the journals i off the previous design when i compared mine to them. i can see that my values ar big. well i am not sure but i fink another confirmation might do good.
