The first procedure I would recommend is an acronymectomy. This critical procedure will dramatically reduce the number of useless, OT responses and other ludicrous behaviors. It has also been known to reduce CRIMINAL activities.

What's an RTD? Renal Transmitted Disease? What about the others?

This might work for some of the applications you mentioned but without some more specificity we can't go much further.

You need to hire a specialist to set up your system, and an appropriate number of well qualified technicians to implement it. In the USA, an ISA Level 3 Instrumentation technician has demonstrated competence in this. Your certifications will likely be different. Don't cheap out on this; that's risking the plant detonating on startup.

Dear All,

Please note

Use a Hart® Calibrator (With signal simulation like Emerson, Fluke, Eurotron or etc.)

Pressure Source (Dead Weight Tester, Manometer (Mercury or Water filled), Hand Pump, Vacuum Pump or any select according to your requirement)

Portable Ultrasonic Flow Meter (Krohne or etc.)

Regard's

Asidrfisi,

Remember that calibration and maintenance are two differents activities, this is a theme of ever discussion between my bosses and me. This is a very important point that your instruments technicians must to understand.

Therefore, I agree totally with drbobwoolery, the key is in the workers, of course, the instruments departament must have good equipment in order to make its tasks.

For example, in our instruments department every technician have a MC5 Beamex,

but,

Ask to each technician when he use the Beamex in order to calibrate and in order to maintenance and surely he will not know give a correct answer.

Therefore, you will be using some tools during the calibration and others during the maintenance, Between both activities the tools are almost the same, but the time used is the key, of course a calibration take more time that a maintenance.

¿Calibration or maintenance? <----- here is the key

I hope this help

Regards

JP
