Pressure Controller

08/17/2010 12:48 AM

Hi to Everybody..I am verymuch interested in knowing about pressure controller.could any one help me,how it will be made..what are various parts inside the pressure controller?..how those parts will be connected inside the controller(Schematic) etc. Please help me,if you know..It will be great help for me.

Thanks in Advance....

A pressure regulating valve and an instrument-based pressure control loop are two different animals.

What is the application, please?

Question:

How does a pressure regulator work?

Answer:

A typical pressure regulator that is normally installed in compressed air/gas systems uses the downstream gas pressure to balance the force exerted by a spring that causes the valve portion of the device to open and close. The downstream pressure acts on a diaphragm which is attached to the valve stem & spring. Rising downstream pressure exerts force on the diaphragm (Force = press X area) which overcomes the spring force and closes the valve. Pre-tensioning the spring determines the force opening the valve and when the downstream press exerts equal force on the spring the valve is in equilibrium (balanced). Any change in downstream pressure causes the valve to open or close accordingly, until equilibrium is again reached. Downstream pressure is adjusted by adjusting spring tension.

Thank you very much sir for the info..Basically it is for my project. I need to do complete research on pressure controller and need to understand construction and how it operates, logics behind that..still if you find any info, please share to improve my knowledge.

Dear Guest,

A Process Controller is an electronic device which is used to control the process requirement that may be any process variable (Flow, Pressure, Temperature, Level, pH, Conductivity and etc.)

In industries when we are talking about any instrument, mostly about Controllers and Control Valve, we use some terms like "Pressure Controller" when the process controller is used to control the pressure of process, etc.
