The Bible of Electrical Protection

08/23/2010 6:23 AM

Could you please do me a favour? I need to know any book(s) that represent the bible of electrical protection (all kinds of protection for high-voltage equipments) covering it in-depth from A-Z. I just need the titles of such book(s).

Hi,

We were referring to switchgear & protection by SS RAO in India in our college days. (Almost 12 years back). It may give an idea regarding differential protection, O/C & E/F protection, etc.

Hope you may find it useful.

Sunil.S.Rao is not very useful when compared with AREVA's Network Protection & Automation Guide or C. R. Mason or even the wonderful Westinghouse T & D Book.

I think this book was later re-named as "Protective Relay Application Guide (PRAG)" and today, the latest revised edition of this book is titled "Network Protection & Automation Guide (NPAG)" and this can be downloaded free of cost from areva t&d website.
