what are three types of AC motors cannot use plugging as a braking method?

This sounds like a homework question?

What is 'plugging' slang for, because direct DC current injection used for motor braking (which is what I think you mean) can be used with most if not all AC motor types (depending on how you implement it).

Can you elaborate on your question please.

"Plugging" is applying reverse phase rotation to an AC motor, in effect reversing the motor to slow or stop it. Some motors are rated for this duty, which is even tougher than "jogging" duty (repeated starts).
