Water Nozzle Spray Volume Measurement Tool

I am looking for an accuate measuring instrument for measuring volume of water that is spraying out of a nozzle. The water sprays out of many nozzles as a vehicle travels through a water testing booth. Any ideas?

Depends on what you need the data for. If you just looking for volume of usage a flow meter will do. But if your testing the vehicle as for water leakage in a storm the use a rain gauge.

I am just looking to verify the amount of water spraying from a single nozzle in a specified amount of time.

connect flow meter to individual nozzels if all the nozzels are the same just connecting to one should give you the amount or divide the whole amount of water to all the nozzels by the amount of nozzels

ie 100 gpm divided by say 12 nozzels gives you 8.33 gpm

or attach hose to nozzel put hose in 5 litre container get stop watch turn water on time how long it takes to fill container and bingo you have volume from 1 nozzels then multiply by the amount of nozzels you have, job done.

I would put a plactic bag over the nozzle. Pick your time interval and then weigh or pour into a volume measuring cup. I do this all the time to determine the actual amount of powder spraying in application guns in a certain amount of time.

a flow meter connected to the main water feed for the nozzels will tell you how much water is going out of the nozzels

Why o Why can you not just measure the water before the nozzel turns it into a spray. This is simple and accurate as long as the nozzel are converting all the water into a spray i. e. they are not dripping with leaks.
