googled " safe flight bead type wheel balancer "

http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=bubble++type+wheel+balencer&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&ie=&oe=&rlz=1I7GZEU_en&redir_esc=&ei=e1Z4TOKKJc7X4wbkpLSrBg

  • 1 Inflate the tire to the proper pressure by adding air to the tire with the air inflation tool. Check the tire pressure for the proper inflation. The tire must be properly inflated for a correct and accurate balance.
  • 2 Remove any old wheel weights that are currently on the rim of the metal wheel. These old weights will interfere with an accurate balance. Lock the wheel balancer into the fixed position so the balance mechanism is not damaged by placing the wheel onto the floating hub.
  • 3 Place the wheel and tire onto the bubble balancer. The outside or street side of the wheel should be facing upwards. Unlock the balancer and allow the tire and floating hub to come to a fixed movement. In other words, when the bubble balancer is first unlocked, the floating hub will seek a level position and will move around before finally coming to a fixed reading position.
  • 4 Observe the position of the air bubble in the double bulls-eye reader located in the center of the floating hub bubble window. The double bulls-eye is identified as two concentric circles or rings, one inside the other. The tire will be balanced or level, once the air bubble is dead center inside this inner circle.
  • 5 Add a small wheel weight to the opposite side of the unleveled (high side) bubble. Place the weights, one at time, alongside the metal rim. Use increasingly higher weight increments until the bubble is centered in the bulls eye.
  • 6 Lock the balancer ,and hammer the wheel weights onto the raised rim with the mounting tool.
  • 7 Unlock the bubble balancer and check for level. Continue steps 7 through step 9 until the bubble is in the center bulls-eye of the bubble window.
  • 8 Lock the bubble balancer, remove the balanced tire, and mount it on the vehicle.

i thimk you misunderstood me this is not a typical bubble balencer it has no lock nor is the bubble in the center it is on one side and it has wieghted measers one for top one for bottem and all this is on one of three prongs it centers with hob and is called a bead balencer i believe it was made in tennasee and is called a safe flight wheel balencer it looks like a early version static balencer (other words it baleneces both sides of the wheel not just one side ) but i do not no this for sure if you can amagine a typical bubble ballencer with three arms and the bubble on one arm with two couter weight measerments that is what i have

I have had a thought it could be a propellor ballancer

a single prop would need ballancing tip to tip and tilt, its not easy to explain.

If you have a general aviation airport close by, call or visit with a FBO. (repair shop) They can probably help you. Safe flight, to me, implies aircraft tires.

Just a thought.

iT SOUNDS LIKE A DIESEL TRUCK TIRE AIR GUAGE THAT IS HOOKED UP TO THE TIRES AND IT SENDS A WARNING WHEN YOUR BIG TIRES ARE DOWN IN AIR PRESSURE SO THAT YOU DONT Have to hit them with a big metal tool.I think they have only been out a few years and it didnt seem like they cost That much. The company may be called something with the word America in it.
