Coming Soon: Home Wind Energy Generators

Engineers at the University of Alberta have developed a small, yet reliable wind energy generator that they hope will be used to power individual homes. The generator uses an open loop control system and can create electrical energy from light winds. The system helps to circumvent the traditional problems with wind dervived energy - low output at high cost and lack of production in low wind.
