CAG Relay

Please could any one enlighten me. My company has a old Elison breaker panel. There is a relay CAG near the incomer breaker. What dose it do?

CAG14 can do many thigs what would it do with the incomer breaker

CAG relay is circulating current relay,can be used for restricted earth fault protection.

Initially it was manufactured by English Electric Co, -GEC-Alstom- now Areva.

It all depends How it is configured in the panel.We could comment further on seeing the circuit diagram of the panel.

CAG Relay is Current-operated, Attracted-armature-type, General-purpose-relay (the first letters of the above words abbreviate to CAG). It is an instantaneous over current relay and could be used for any instantaneous over current protection. Not necessarily only REF.
