There is a loss of power from current carrying conductors in the form of electromagnetic waves also. For the production of a electromagnetic waves there should be a electric field & magnetic field (Also should be dynamic). They both supports each other for the propagation. I think magnetic field is created from current flow through the conductor. But from where electric field is created? According to my view every conductor has small impedence and these impedence can create potential difference and can provide a differential voltage drop along the conductor. Whether this differential voltage drop along the conductor causes electric field or not. If not please tell me the reason for electric field.
