What is the Lowest Temperature Recorded?

09/06/2010 6:43 AM

What is the lowest ever Temperature recorded? I think it is 4 Kelvin. But why we cannot achieve near equal to 0 Kelvin. I do understand that at 0 K all molecular activities stops.

Where do we lack in producing the lowest temperature?

0.01 K is a piece of cake for any decent lab. Below that you have to take it seriously, but you should be able to get almost to 0.0000000000 K.

My banker has a heart close to that, BTW.
