Frequency Synthesizers

Hello...i have recenthly joined this group. i m M.Tech student in ECE. i m working on the designing of frequency synthesizers. i need to know what are the practical considerations to b taken in designing of synthesizers..??

I have been interested in this area for quite some time, (and in this freq area too).

For this kid, I found the article quite interesting. I'll have to find out what Austrian Semi has done with it. Anyhow, GA.

You should give a more clear picture of the application: General RF synthesizer or music, low frequency (DSS synthesizer) Frequency range, raster or step width required, phase noise permissible output level ++ There are many parameters which influence the design drastically.
