Is it true that an EMP can be generated causing shutdown of all electronic devices?

can you tell what does it do in a circuit?

Yes

It Fry's everything, the wires and components act like Ariel's and absorb vast amounts of electrical energy they were not designed for, and bzzzzt

Thats is allegedly why the Russian's used Valves in some of their aircraft as Valves are immune to EMP

if you put something electrical into a microwave and turn it on you will see-what i mean

DONT TRY IT <<<IT MAY EXPLODE

Watch the movie "The Matrix", that's how they fight against the electronic machines.
