PWHT - Stainless Steel

09/14/2010 12:34 AM

Whether PWHT comes as a requirement or not in any grade of Stainless Steel irrespective of the service specially with regard to L grade? Also in case of which service PWHT comes in Stainless Steel & for which grade if any?

At least I have not seen any case. Thanx in advance

Generally PWHT is not required in Austenitic stainless steel, but it is required in Martensitic and ferritic stainless steel n normally depends on base metal thickness and the base metal.
