Devnagari/Hindi Bit Font Generator

09/15/2010 3:26 AM

I need to generate hex file for Hindi font to use on graphic display in 8051 based system. What I want to know is: 1. If there is a such font generator (which imports font from window) 2. Or the rules to generate fonts so that Combination of fonts will be proper.

I don't know what you mean by what you wrote but if you want the words to appear in Hindi/Devangiri while using the same key board, try "Google transliteration"

I have myself used Google Transliteration and took printout on Inkjet printer. It worked.

While in transliteration mode, you type the words in English as they should sound in Hindi and lo! you have those words displayed in Hindi.

After you have done the typing save your job in pdf and then take a printout. It should work.

I am working on 8051 based embadded system (Its not PC). I have to write software to print Hindi on a printer that do not support Hindi. As first step I need to generate all fonts of hindi, including half AKSHARs. Then I need to know rules to combine them for printing. I have experience on printing. So what I need is ready dot matrix hindi fonts and rules to combine them.
