Acer Empowering Technology Framework

hi guys....anyone who can help me where i can down load an acer empowering technolgy framework? then another thing i change my vista into microsoft xp but when i finish changing into xp what happen is the sound of the speaker of my laptop are very silent only a little sound i hear...even though the speaker are full but still a little sound?

The drivers that came with your XP install are most likely not appropriate for your laptop hardware. Back when I had an Acer, their web site had a pretty good selection of appropriate drivers, but if the computer came with Vista installed, they may not have XP compatible drivers available for your particular hardware.

Have you considered switching to Linux? On a number of occasions, with older equipment, I have installed Ubuntu Linux (on my old Acer as well), and everything just worked right, without having to chase down drivers and such...
