Setting Up Mailing List

Does anybody know how to set up a mailing list on an online email system such as Yahoo or Hotmail? I need to be able to send out large quantities of email to warn citizens of the Empire against supporting the rebels.

CR4 had 10's of thousands of readers. Can you add some technical detail so this important post doesn't get pulled ? X-wing versus Y-wing, colour of light sword thingy, That sort of stuff. I'm game to help, though not sure which side of the farce I'm on yet .
