Reaction Steam Turbines

I want to know what is disadvantage of using reaction steam turbines? I also want to know about steam consumption will be of whether less or higher than impulse steam turbines. Please tell at what application the reaction steam turbines suit well.

And I always thought the steam turbines are reaction type (though not pure of course) whereas the gas and the Hydro are Impulse.
