Help us so that we can help you.

Is this a part of a formula?

Could you give us an example of it being used in a sentence?

Are these directly related to the field of mechanical engineering?

There may be two depending on what/where you have come across.

1) Less used - Radiography Certificate level 1 or level 2 (usually it is called as such) but you may rarely come across people calling themselves I am RT1.

2) In case of radiography tests- first shot is RT1. In case it failed and is repaired the post repair second shot will be called RT2 (usually with location as (RT2- EF) and so on depending on the number of repairs (and hence re-shots)
