Technologies to Reduce Atomospheric CO2

03/10/2007 2:58 PM

Having read and participated in several discussions on global warming on this site, I realized that they were missing the boat as far as what we can do to positively add to the issue. Let me say I am the first to admit that I have not bought into the concept that the current rise in global temperatures is categorically tied to increases in man-made CO2 over the past 100 or 200 years. My geological background suggest there are many other factors that should be included into the equation but are not.

Having clarified that, this discussion is not being established to put forward my position. Instead I want everyone to try to come up with ways and means of controlling the amount of CO2 being exhaled into the atmosphere or ways of reducing those amounts.

To coin a phrase that is likely familiar to many;

"Gentlemen, start your engines" (sic brains)

The Discussion is now open for contributions.

The chances of contribution are reduced now (Sir) Richard Branson has announced a major prize for anyone being clever enough to sell him the solution. Any potential winner will be keeping the solution to her/himself ("ladies first").
