Please turn off the all-caps, and then give a part number or some other information that will enable responders to suggest an equivalent replacement.

this guy is a 3 terminal pnp mosfet transistor,part#ifr510tr3 mosfet which is from my

schmatic, i know it's source is at -12vdc drain is at +12vdc gate is at +4vdc

max(variable 1.5 to 4vdc) gate gives amplification 6adc max, and is maxed by

circuit design not the component. it's purpose is to supply a ferrite coil of app. 11ohms

at app.25cps. the case is impervious to any terminal.

i'm having a problem locating part and the source can be reached if i had the time

which could take months. THANKS Stephen

I think it's about 99% certain that you've got the wrong part number.

The device you're after is (I beleive) an IRF510 (click here for datasheet). I'm not sure, but (from what I can dredge up from the 'net) it seems that RadioShack had them incorrectly labelled as "IFR" instead of "IRF" at one time.

Click here for the current entry on the RadioShack site.
