Rectifier and Diode ?

09/24/2010 5:08 AM

Is it technically correct to say that both (Rectifier and Diode) is the same thing in a way that both are used for AC to DC power conversion.

OR

Rectifier is made by numbers of diode.

A diode can be used as a rectifier, though it depends on what sort of diode it is.

There are some diode jobs that don't incur rectification.

To be Technically correct you would use the term, rectifier diode, or maybe diode bridge rectifier.

A half wave rectifier can be just one diode.

a full wave rectifier can be just 2 diodes, or 4 diodes in a wein bridge configuration.
